
I had no idea what weight-bearing exercise were until i read an article in one of my monthly magazines.
Apparently us ladies are recommended to do a weight-bearing exercise as a way of increasing bone density to protect against osteoporosis.
Essentially, you have to be supporting all your weight on your feet and putting some kind of impact on them, such as with running or skipping, for the exercise to qualify as weight-bearing.
So the skipping rope that i bought a few months ago and has since laid on my bedroom floor will be getting some use from now on to strengthen my bones!
